Self-drive van hire · Bishopton
Box van hire
with a tail lift
A brand new Luton-style box van with a column tail lift, hired by the day or the weekend from our yard by the M8 and the Erskine Bridge. Drive it on a standard car licence. A VW Crafter and a Ford Transit Connect join the fleet soon.
The van
The tail lift is the point
Most hire vans make you lift everything over a tailboard. Ours has a column tail lift, so the heavy stuff goes up at ground level — white goods, plant, flight cases, a full house of furniture — without anyone doing their back in.

Van hire questions
Before you book
Van hire for Bishopton, Erskine, Inchinnan, Houston, Paisley, Renfrew, Port Glasgow and the west of Glasgow, from our yard off the M8 by the Erskine Bridge.
What licence do I need?
A full car driving licence. The box van is drivable on a standard car licence, so no HGV or C1 entitlement is needed. If your licence wasn't issued in the UK, call us before booking.
How old do I need to be?
For the box van with tail lift, drivers must be aged 25 to 78. Age limits for the Crafter and Transit Connect will be confirmed when they arrive.
Is insurance included?
Yes. Insurance is included in the daily price. As with any hire, you're responsible for an excess if the van is damaged, and we'll go through the hire terms with you before you drive away.
How much is the deposit?
£300, taken by card in the hirer's name before the van is released, and refunded within 5 working days of the van coming back.
Can you deliver the van?
Yes. Collection from our yard in Bishopton is free, or we'll deliver anywhere in Renfrewshire for £20.
What do I bring on collection?
Your original photocard driving licence, a DVLA check code (from gov.uk/view-driving-licence) and one proof of address dated within the last 3 months, such as a bank statement or utility bill.
How do I pay?
By debit or credit card in the hirer's name. We can't accept cash for van hire.
What's the minimum hire?
One day. Hire for 5 days or more and the daily price drops to £110, and to £90 a day for 14 days or more.
